History
Reconcilers of Northern Indiana is partnered with Reconcilers.net, a national movement of faith-based reconciliation based in Los Angeles, CA. This movement revolves around faith-based reconciliation training developed by the Rev. Canon Brian Cox. This training has been broadly utilized to build bridges between opposing sides in many contexts, including the Episcopal Church’s debate over human sexuality and violent religious conflict in the Middle East.
Rev. Jim Warnock, rector of Gethsemane Episcopal Church in Marion, Indiana, has been involved with the ministry of Reconcilers.net since 2003. He has participated and helped facilitate training seminars across the country. In May 2007 he began including college students and young adults from his parish in the Reconcilers.net national training event in Los Angeles. With the support of Edward Little, Bishop of Northern Indiana, Jim, his wife, Kresha, and several young people from his parish are committed to training college students and young adults to be competent and compassionate reconcilers.
